AFFCO and the New Zealand Meat Workers Union have ratified a new collective agreement for a two-year term.
81% of NZ Meat Workers Union voted in favour of the new collective agreement.
This means proceedings due to come before the Employment Court in mid-March by AFFCO to end bargaining and the NZ Meat Workers Union to fix the terms of the collective agreement have been withdrawn.
The Meat Workers Union is very pleased an agreement has been reached and look forward to working with AFFCO on a constructive basis.
