Show your support

1000 MWU members who work for AFFCO Talleys have been trying to get a fair agreement for a year now.  Their old agreement expired a year ago and with new employment laws coming in on 6th March, your show of solidarity right now is just what they need to make another push.

People before profit – If the workers are looked after correctly by the businesses, the businesses will be looked after by the workers. Win-win situation for individuals, couples, families and communities. We support you all – Kia Kaha, Kia Toa, Kia Manawanui.

    Kia kaha tatou!

Talleys have proved themselves time and time again to be a selfish and unfair employer. They make more than enough profit to reward their workers properly for their efforts, and if they did, that would have great results for so many workers and their families. help their famiies. As someone who grew up in the Motueka area, I also hope that spending the money on workers that they deserve might have the added bonus of Talleys having less cash to throw away on building the grotesque mansions they’ve stuffed the place with. Put simply, profits should go where there’s need, not greed. Go the Talleys AFFCO workers!

My father worked for AFFCO for well ova the 30 years and was a staunch Union member and union delegate. I supported whanau at the lock out last time by producing placards for the moerewa crew! Will do it again if need be!
